What is healthier, Infrared or traditional sauna?
The true answer is both or put another way, whichever sauna you are going to use the most often. Both saunas offer proven health benefits. Download our infrared vs. traditional white paper for more details on both types of saunas.
What if I don't like extreme heat?
The infrared might be best for you since infrared delivers a deep tissue, sweat experience at a lower temperature. However, some traditional sauna enthusiasts swear by a lower temperature and higher humidity experience in their traditional saunas.

Get a combo/hybrid sauna. Then you can decide which version you want to use on any given day--or both.
How do I calculate what size sauna I need?
We generally recommend 2' of bench for every person but if you like to lounge or lie down that will also affects the size sauna you may select.
What wood is best for a sauna?
While there are many wood types to choose from, generally, it is best to select softer woods for better surface comfort. We mainly used green-friendly Canadian Hemlock along with Thermal Aspen for long life and great looks. Icelandic Saunas have among the most highly functional and good looking saunas on the market.
Why wouldn't I just buy a cheaper sauna online?
